About Raptor Valley Canine Rescue

Welcome to Raptor Valley Canine Rescue—a place built on love, sacrifice, and the unwavering belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, wanted, and at home.

This rescue didn’t start as a plan. It started as something we couldn’t ignore.

After retiring from breeding border collies, we began seeing more and more dogs in our community being left behind—forgotten, abandoned, or simply running out of time. And as a single mom and her teenage daughter, we knew we couldn’t just look the other way. So we made a choice: we opened our door, not knowing how full our home—or our hearts—would become.

What began with a few has grown into something much bigger than us.

Today, we care for 27 incredible dogs. Some came to us scared and unsure. Some came with stories we may never fully know. Others arrived full of life but with nowhere to go. From playful puppies discovering joy for the first time to older dogs finally finding a soft place to rest—we’ve watched them heal, trust again, and become the dogs they were always meant to be.

This past winter alone, we took in 20 dogs and puppies who had no one else. No backup plan. No safe place. Just us.

Every single day is a commitment—early mornings, late nights, vet visits, feeding, cleaning, comforting. It’s not always easy. But it’s always worth it.

We’re now working toward becoming a registered nonprofit so we can keep saying “yes” to the dogs who need us most. Because right now, for every dog we take in, there are others still waiting.

Every donation, every bag of food, every share, every bit of support—it truly matters. It helps us keep going. It helps us keep saving lives.

At Raptor Valley Canine Rescue, this is more than rescue work. This is about second chances. This is healing. This is hope.

And together, we can make sure that no dog is ever left behind again.
